It was a proud day when we were tasked with producing one of the first same-sex marriages on Australian soil, for our dear friends (we also joined the bridal party!) The venue was perfect: an outdoor space under a crystal blue sky. Taking our cues from nearby Watson’s Bay Lighthouse and the simple elegance of the grooms, we dressed the space in white, with layers of blooms and a series of intimate spaces, from a classic white marquee with festoon lighting to an outdoor lounge zone with antique French lounges, upholstered in cream linens. Guests were free to snack and graze at lavish tables, decked with dark antiques and pillar candles. As day turned to dusk, it became a magical garden, tinted in soft coral and pink by the sun: nature’s lighting director.
