Beirne Lane populating the ground floor area of the iconic T.C.Beirne building in the Valley in Brisbane, beautifully juxtaposes a deconstructed concrete-lined ceiling exposing all services with refined, sophisticated multi-use areas. The interior is an exploration of contrasts. Stripping back over a hundred years of renovations, AZBcreative paid homage to the old counters of the time designing the Originals bar, part food service from classic sash windows along arcade side to part big city bar with a heavily detailed fluted edge, topped with beautiful curved Grecian silver grey marble. Multiple drinking and dining areas were introduced and designed to create totally new experiences for the patrons… The lower dining room features a large patterned black and ivory encaustic tiled floor, khaki green hand bag leather curved banquettes and mustard glazed tiled tables. The elevated mezzanine with supersized custom marble terrazzo floor slicing the room diagonally is the home to the main dining space. The 30 metre long open kitchen bar named Valley Corner Diner is the counterpoint to the banquettes of aged grey leather diner seating. Details like custom bronze honey pot lights reminiscent of old bank foyers, vignettes of haberdashery clusters honouring the T.C.Beirne heritage and a laneway filled with magnificent verdant hanging plants are defining moments.
